Passion for Life is seeking a dedicated, purpose-led leader to fill our Board Chair position.

 

The Chair ensures that the Board of Directors fulfills its responsibilities for the organization's governance. The Chair works in partnership with the Vice-Chair and Executive Director to achieve the vision and mission of the organization and to optimize the relationship between the Board and staff.

Board Chair Responsibilities

The Board Chair assists with the development of a strategic plan to advance the organization’s ambition, mission, and objectives as well as promote fundraising, sustainability, and growth. Responsibilities include: 

  • Strategic Leadership: Guiding the Board in developing and overseeing strategic direction, maximizing Passion for Life's impact.
  • Governance: Ensuring strong Board composition, effective processes, and sound financial practices. 
  • Fundraising: Partnering with the Executive Director to lead fundraising efforts and secure resources.
  • External Relations: Serving as an ambassador, fostering relationships with key stakeholders, and promoting Passion for Life's mission.
  • Board & Staff Leadership: Chair Board meetings, foster collaboration within the Board, and maintain a supportive relationship with the Executive Director.
